On Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, Crowley police, firefighters and paramedics were called to a home in Crowley, a Tarrant County city south of Fort Worth. A relative had phoned 911. Inside, they found four people dead in different rooms: a woman, her two daughters and the man police named as the gunman, who had been in a relationship with the woman for about four years.
Police Chief Luis Soler said the deaths were most likely a domestic violence murder-suicide. A child who was in the home survived and was placed with family. Police said the child did not see the shootings.
What police said next
Investigators reviewed phones, computers and cameras from the home to piece together the timeline, and said the case was isolated, with no danger to neighbors. Crowley ISD set up counseling and grief support for students.
