Acne is a health topic, so every story follows the same rules.

Sources

• Every number comes from a named source: a peer-reviewed study, a regulator (such as the FDA), a public health body or an official dataset.
• We link the source in the story and list it under "Sources".
• We do not use anonymous forum posts as evidence.

What we never do

• Promise results, or call anything a cure.
• Give dosing instructions for medicines.
• Write about children or show minors in images.

How stories are made

Stories are researched and drafted with the help of AI tools, then checked: each number is traced back to its source before a story is published. Images are illustrations of the situation a story describes, not photos of the people in it.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix the story and note the change at the bottom with the date.
