 Las Vegas, Nev. -- Robert Oliver, 78, of Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Crowley, Texas, died Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at the home of his son in Las Vegas.

 Graveside services were 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2009, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall, Mo.   Visitation was 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. Saturday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home, 226 S. Odell Ave., Marshall, MO, 65340.

 Born August 18, 1931, in Muncie, Kan., he was the son of the late John E. Oliver and Ethel L Oliver.  On October 23, 1965, he married Marge Dickson McKee, who preceded him in death on May 6, 2006. Bob was a maintenance engineer for many years at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Worth, retiring in 1997.  He was a United States Marine veteran, enlisting on December 29, 1947.  During his time in the Marines, he was stationed in Korea, where he served in combat action.  He was honorably discharged as a corporal on May 9, 1952.

 Robert lived in Crowley for many years, and has spent the last few years close to his family in Las Vegas.  He was a Catholic.

 In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack Oliver, of Las Vegas and Elmer Oliver, of Las Vegas.

 Survivors include one son, Dwight Oliver and his wife, Jan, of Las Vegas, Nev., one daughter, Karen Basilotta, of Las Vegas; one step-son, Roger McKee and his wife, Carol, of Burleson, one step-daughter, Carol Clouser and her husband, Harry, of Burleson; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard Oliver and his wife, Dee, of Las Vegas; along with many other family members and friends.

 Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall, Mo. handled the arrangements.
