Arlington -- John Earl Bullard, 79, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2009, in Fort Worth.

 Funeral services were 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at Baumgardner Funeral Chapel, 212 North Tarrant in Crowley. Pallbearers were: Paul Flippo, Tyler Bullard, Bret Bullard, Brandon Burgess, Shane Mitch and John Whitaker. Burial followed at the Crowley Cemetery. Visitation was 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the David Bullard Transplant Fund at Texas Exchange Bank.

 John was born January 11, 1930 in Blum, Texas to Milford and Mary Clark Bullard.

 John worked at Loma Plastics for 17 years before starting his own business, J E Bullard Construction, in 1970. He worked 23 years until he suffered a stroke. John said he retired in 1993 but he never stopped working until he passed on Saturday. John also enjoyed traveling around the world with his wife.

 He is preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Jillian Bullard.

 Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Glenda Bullard; children, Kathy Flippo and husband, Kirk, of Fort Worth, David Bullard of Arlington, Glen Bullard and wife, Pat, of Aledo, Jerry Bullard and wife, Patrice, of Crowley; siblings, Leta Simpkins, Lowell Bullard, Stacy Bullard, James Bullard and Charlie Bullard; 8 granchildren; 6 great grandchildren and one more on the way.

 Baumgardner Funeral Chapel in Crowley handled the arrangements. 817-297-1116.
