Burleson -- R. Dolores “Nana” Akin, 74, a retired realtor, passed away Friday, October 2, 2009, in Mansfield.

 Funeral services were 10 a.m., Monday, October 5, 2009, at Baumgardner Funeral Chapel in Crowley. Burial followed at Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation was 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel.

 Dolores was born August 24, 1935, in Kopprell, Texas, to Walter Lee and Ella Grace Cheek Billings. She will be greatly missed.

 She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John M. Akin; son, Johnny Lee Akin and brothers, W. L. Billings and James B. Billings.

 Survivors include daughters, Deborah Akin-Coljohn and husband, J.C., Monica Akin-Davis and husband, Jason; brother, Marvin Billings; grandchildren, Jamie Lee Akin, John Paul Villars, Alyssa Valentine; great grandchildren, Tyler Akin and Shelby Akin-Davis.

 Baumgardner Funeral Chapel in Crowley handled the arrangements. 817-297-1116.
