City Council is considering transition to a stormwater utility fee structure, which could result in more equality based on usage, instead of property ownership.

The park named for Hobart R. Bartlett has changed recreational uses and the name will slightly change, but the intent to honor the former mayor will remain.

Having already run at the UIL Class 5A state cross country championships earlier in 2015, Burleson junior Cesar Limones will compete at another state championship this season.

With six individuals competing that the Class 5A Region I track and field championships over the weekend in Lubbock, Centennial’s girls squad had a good showing.

Having already clinched the District 8-5A title, Centennial’s baseball team played the role of spoiler Saturday morning.

I have been a lifelong resident of Johnson County and have known Mike Powell of his life, as I am his sister.

I was born in Alvarado, am a 65-year resident of Johnson County and grew up in Burleson with Mike Powell. We have been friends since our childhood years.
